Airport officials at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport Abuja reportedly beat a female passenger for recording an ongoing harassment.
This ugly incident happened on Monday, February 13, 2023. According to reports obtained from Peoples Gazette, the beatings did not stop until passed out and her unconscious body was dragged out of public view.
The victim, identified as Christianah Ebun was scheduled to travel from Abuja to Lagos on a 7 am flight. While waiting to board, she sighted some FAAN officials harassing a lady.
According to an eye witness, Ebun pulled out her phone to record the incident. This move from her draw the attention of the airport officials.
They descended on her until she lost consciousness and her body was covered with bruises.
FAAN spokesperson, Hope-Ivbaise Faithful said the matter would be investigated.
At the time of filing this report, Ibom Air is yet to answer requests seeking comments on the matter.
