Tragedy struck as Eight Madonna university students returning home for elections were burnt to death in a road accident.
This unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
According to reports, the crash happened at TTC/special science school junction. Along the trans-saharan road, Abakaliki Ebonyi state.
The students and other passengers in the bus were said to be travelling from Port Harcourt to Taraba state.
One of the victims has been identified as Grace Usman Ezra.
In a post shared on Twitter by a staff at Alex Ekweme Teaching hospital, ‘everyone is in pain’ by the incident.
“Working in the hospital can be depressing at times. A bus carrying Madonna students travelling for elections collided with a sienna and the bus is burnt. Now these poor kids are in A&E all in pains”. Wrote Mrs. Nkiruka.
“Those students who managed to jump out of the burning bus reportedly suffered multiple fractures”. the hospital worker said.
